From picturesque scenic vistas, large waterfalls and hikes for all abilities, you’ll surely find something to stay busy. Always practice Leave No Trace and consider purchasing a hike safe card here.

Squam Lake – This beautiful lake has lots to offer, and perhaps you recognize it from the Academy Award winning film, On Golden Pond. Consider a short hike up West Rattle Snake Mountain, located off of Rte. 113, for some of the best views of Squam. The entire Squam Range is well worth the effort, too! After your hike or drive around the lake, dine in at Walter’s Basin or Inn Kitchen and Bar. And if you don’t have a canoe or kayak, rent one from Squam Lakes Association! They offer kayak and canoe rentals with life jackets and tutorials if needed.

Cold Spring Resort! – That’s right, you don’t even need to leave the property to enjoy your stay here.
